CHINA 34: SHANGHAI-MUNICIPAL HISTORY MUSEUM
June 8 Continued
Back down from the sightseeing floor, we went into the Shanghai Municipal History Museum, which is located at the lobby at the bottom floor of the Oriental Pearl Tower.
With many large pictures, models and dioramas, the Museum recounts the history of Shanghai, through the days when parts of it were occupied by various western powers (Pre-1949). You can see what Shanghai’s water-front,streets;
and opium shops looked like.
It provides a peep into how people lived,
worked,
went around town,
carried things,
and entertained.
Even you can see how justice was rendered.
