CHINA 39: SHANGHAI-HUANGPU RIVER NIGHT CRUISE

June 9 continued

After dinner, we were off to enjoy the Huangpu River Night Cruise.

We were not alone. Thousands of other people wanted to do so.

Watching the illuminated buildings and monuments on both sides of the river was a delightful experience.

It was hard to keep the camera stable. Some pictures were affected by instability. But they still look all right.

Finally, next morning (June 10

), it was time to say goodbye to Shanghai and China.

After breakfast, we boarded our bus and left for the Longyang Road Station to catch the Maglev Train to the Pudong Airport.

Operational since 2002, Shanghai Maglev Train is the world's first and only commercialized maglev train line in operation.

Traveling at the speed of around 190 miles an hour, it took less than 8 minutes to reach at the airport.
